Joe Ascione (born March 14, 1961, Brooklyn, New York) is an American jazz drummer.〔http://www.drumsoloartist.com/Site/Drummers3/Joe_Ascione.html〕 Ascione began playing drums at age 2. His parents bought him his first drum set at age 4, and he was playing professionally by the time he was 12. As a teenager, he was a roadie for Buddy Rich. Ascione has been on about 70 recordings to date.
